Alterian will offer its web content management system to help Jaguar Land Rover’s communications staff to give local flavour to the company’s websites — www.jaguar.com and www.landrover.com.
With Alterian Content Management, managers will be able to edit the web content to suit the local markets and customers. Jaguar Land Rover can as well load the content in different languages simultaneously. Managers need not now depend on the IT staff to build, manage and publish dynamic content.
David Eldridge, CEO of Alterian, said: “The website is quickly becoming a company’s most powerful marketing tool, and so it is vital that the communications team have direct control over the website and the ability to change content as required. Companies need to maximise their online presence and ensure that prospective customers receive a personal and relevant experience when they visit a company’s website.”
Alterian Content Management works on Windows-like interface that makes it easy for the users to manage intranet, extranet and internet sites without having technical know-how. Alterian claims to have more than 500 customers, including WWE, Citigroup and ESPN. It manages the brand portal for the motoring marque Bentley; intranet system for the BBC; and websites for the pharmaceutical brand AstraZeneca.
Jaguar Land Rover required a single, consolidated platform to power its global websites. Alterian will enable the company to maintain multiple disparate systems by consolidating website delivery to a resilient, enterprise class platform. The Content Management platform will be integrated with Jaguar Land Rover’s CRM systems.
