INQ releases two Facebook phones

Cloud Touch and Cloud Q to run on Google's Android

INQ Mobile has released two Facebook integrated smartphones.

Named Cloud Touch and Cloud Q, these phones will run on Google’s Android OS.

INQ has targeted the youth with these phones. So its new phones’ main screen has a busy look, with "status updates" accessible.

The user can write a message on somebody’s Facebook Wall as easily as send them a text message.

The Cloud Touch has a 3.5-inch HVGA touchscreen and a 5 megapixel camera with auto-focus. The Cloud Q has a physical QWERTY keyboard and 2.6-inch touchscreen. The Scroll bar provides direct access to different Facebook features.

Both phones run Facebook and Spotify overlay. The home screens of the phones carry a Facebook widget that displays News Feed.The Cloud series phones have 600MHz Qualcomm MSM7227 chipset.

The Cloud phones are expected to hit stores in the second quarter of this year. Pricing details are not known.

Company’s co-founder Ken Johnstone said both INQ’s new models have Facebook in their DNA.

Johnstone said, "We didn’t put a Facebook button on because our users don’t think ‘I’m going to look at Facebook’. It was important that it’s an authentic, comprehensive Facebook experience".
