Fujitsu has launched Hybrid Cloud Services for Microsoft Windows Azure to enable government and enterprise customers to benefit from hybrid cloud offerings, achieving operating cost reductions of typically 30% or more.
Fujitsu’s Hybrid Cloud Services offers new comprehensive services to address the market potential in industry and government sectors that require a broader range of cloud deployment options, including hybrid options, within their business and IT environments.
The Hybrid Cloud Services links Microsoft Windows Azure-based components to Windows Server-based components running either in a customer’s premises or a Fujitsu cloud platform. As a result, Fujitsu can run an enterprise or government application in Windows Azure using data generated in one or more customer locations and can hold that data securely in a location of the customer’s choice.
Fujitsu said it is planning to launch these cloud services in the UK, USA, Australia, Spain and Canada.
Fujitsu UK and Ireland principal consultant David Leen said hybrid cloud services provide another important addition to the Fujitsu Cloud Portfolio and the company is excited that it can now provide customers with a higher level of cost saving and flexibility from multiple cloud integration.
"Hybrid Cloud Services builds on our extensive experience in delivering Windows Azure services including the world’s first independently managed Microsoft Windows Azure cloud environment delivered from the Fujitsu Global Cloud platform in Japan," said Leen.
Microsoft Windows Azure general manager Doug Hauger said the new cloud options from Fujitsu demonstrate the potential for offering public cloud services with value-added service techniques to deliver sophisticated cloud offerings that meet customers’ specific needs.
