Bomgar holds the largest revenue share among companies with at least 1,000 employees in the remote support software market, research by analyst firm IDC has revealed.
Revenue for the remote control software solutions specialist, which has offices in Jackson, Atlanta, Washington, Paris and London, increased by more than 34% last year, while its overall market share grew by 16.3%.
The company put the increase down to the security and support included in the Bomgar Remote Support solution.
Joel Bomgar, CEO and founder at Bomgar, said: "Over the past decade, we’ve focused on the unique needs of large tech support organisations who have to worry about things like security, supporting global end-users, BYOD, and so on, resulting in a solution that goes far beyond screen-sharing and remote control to significantly improve the tech support experience."
However, Bomgar was the fourth-ranked vendor in the overall clientless remote support software market, holding about 12.8% of revenue share.
The remote support market grew by more than 16% from 2011 to 2012, driven in part by the massive rise in tablet and smartphone technologies.
The Bomgar Remote Support Solution is supposed to provide technical support for users from any device or platform wherever they are.
