Atos Worldline unveils NFC mobile wallet service

The new wallet will enable multiple value-added services such as cloud payment and NFC transactional services

European electronic payments services provider Atos Worldline has launched a new Visa and MasterCard compliant NFC (Near Field Communication) mobile wallet for card issuers across the world.

The new wallet service combines mobile application and cloud services to enable multiple value-added services such as cloud payment and NFC transactional services, the company said.

It also offers secure mobile payment and provides value-added services on top of the dematerialised cards while keeping existing customer relationship and enabling to support new end-user needs.

In addition, the new service implements the latest specifications from Visa, MasterCard, SIMAlliance and AFSCM, combined with a simple design to provide a enahnced user experience for NFC mobile payment.

Atos Worldline CEO Christophe Duquenne said: "The Atos Mobile Wallet is an example of a product leveraging our unique combined expertise in both Payment and Mobile Services."

The new service includes a Mobile Gateway that offers straightforward integration with payment platforms to provide enrollment, payment history, online card and account details.

It also includes added-value services such as strong authentication, coupons, loyalty, link to Cloud Wallet and P2P payment, that can be implemented to match the issuer’s strategy.

The new service can be offered alone, or combined with Atos Worldline portfolio, including Trusted Service Management (TSM), Issuing platforms, Pre-Paid management, Loyalty/Couponing and Access Control Server services.
