SEMA SUBSIDIARY BUYS EUROPE ASSURANCE INFORMATIQUE

Sema Group Recovery Services, a subsidiary of Paris-based Sema Group, has acquired a majority shareholding in Europe Assurance Informatique, a French disaster recovery, business continuity, data save ad security services company based in Paris and Lille. Terms were not disclosed. EAI, which has a customer base of lage accounts in the banking and insurance markets, had revenues of $3.4m last year. SG-RS provides disaster recovery and business continuity services to 400 European customers running IBM mainframes and AT&T, Digital and Stratus midrange systems. Once belonging to CAP Gemini Sogeti, the company recently changed its name from CAP-RS to SG-IS (CI No 3,169).
