Satellite terminals and equipment company Satellite Transmission Systems Inc of Hauppauge, New York has won a $3.4m US government satellite earthstation contract: the California Microwave Inc subsidiary says it has previously built and installed over 200 major earthstations worldwide, notably the 32-metre Intelsat Standard A station that was used to broadcast the 1988 Summer Olympics from Seoul, South Korea.
