Samsung launches Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet in US

Samsung has launched its new Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet in the US, in the midst of a patent trial, entailing the South Korean firm and Apple, in which both have accused the other of duplicating its technology.

According to Samsung, the new Android tablet differentiates itself from the iPad by featuring a stylus and a screen which is capable of measuring 24 levels of pressure sensitivity.

Being priced at $499 for 16 gigabytes of memory, the WiFi-only tablet is offered with multiscreen feature, which enables users to simultaneously operate two active apps alongside, on the single screen.

Features of the new tablet include a 1.4GHz quad-core processor, 2GB of internal RAM, an S Pen, a 10.1-inch large display, a 5-megapixel main camera and a 1.9-megapixel front-facing camera.

The new tablet support apps which include the multiscreen S Note, Internet Browser, Video Player, Email, Gallery and Polaris Office.

Pop up Play feature of the new Android tablet, initially introduced on the Galaxy S III Smartphone, allows users to play back videos in a floating window which can be overlaid anywhere on the screen.

The tablet’s Adobe Photoshop Touch feature is incorporated with Adobe Creative Cloud, which offers users with free access to file syncing and sharing features and 2GB of storage space.

The Peel powered Samsung Smart Remote feature, through the use of in-built IR emitter will transform the tablet into a universal remote control which can control an entire home entertainment system as well as recommend programmes.
