NOW STAR DIVISION TARGETS NETWORK COMPUTERS AND WEB

Star Division GmbH, the Hamburg company that had such high hopes of global stardom when IBM Corp adopted its office suite for OS/2, said yesterday that it would release an application server written in Java for use on Network Computers. The company also has a new release, 4.0, of Star Office, which includes word processing, spreadsheets, graphic presentations and the ability to view and edit documents on the World Wide Web. It will be available on March 24 in German, English, Dutch, Italian and French and includes a features such as the ability to make three- dimensional objects for company presentations or automatic formatting of electronic mail and Internet addresses. The price is to remain at $300.
