RingCube says MojoPac enables students to turn any storage device, including iPods, USB flash or personal drives, and cell phones, into their personal computing environment – which when plugged into the USB connection on any computer functions just as their own personal computer.
Our faculty prepackages course material including installed software applications. Students get an inexpensive environment that is personal and portable. And, the support staff members are happy as there is less lab maintenance work, said Dr Sigurd Meldal, chair, computer engineering department, San Jose State University.
The software lets students take all their academic and personal information, settings, and applications such as Microsoft Office, JDK, Eclipse, MSQL, iTunes, Adobe Photoshop, and PC games such as World of Warcraft with them wherever they go, on any portable storage device.
