Lexmark International Group Inc has launched what it called the Lexmark Network – an incentive scheme for its dealers and customers. The company launched the 1020 color capable inkjet with an estimated retail price of $250 and the Optra six page per minute 600 dots per inch small footprint printer aimed at the low-end and small office market. The company says it is aiming to go aggressively for market share in Russia with these low-end products. In 1995 Lexmark says it made a major impact in the high-end laser market with its 12ppm and 1,200dpi Optra family, which has now been enhanced to 16 pages per minute. Lexmark printers are sold through the sole Russian distributor of Lexmark, the French-owned Compumark.
