KID PIX STUDIO ANIMATION SOFTWARE WITH MOOPIES

By CBR Staff Writer

Novato, California-based Broderbund Software Inc released the MPC/Windows version of Kid Pix Studio, a paint and animation program for children to create multimedia productions. It is based on the Kid Pix program and offers new animation projects including Moopies and Stampimators. The Moopies project – short for moving pictures, enables children to bring their own drawings to life by painting with any of 28 Wacky Brushes. Stampimator lets children choose up to four Animated Stamps from a collection of 336, or instantly animate any of the 560 Rubber Stamps, and set them loose on a page. The MPC/Windows version requires a 33MHz full 80386 personal computer with 4Mb RAM, Windows 3.1, MS-DOS 5.0, Super VGA, MPC-compliant sound board and CD-ROM printer support; it costs $45.
