ITS AS EASY AS APPLE PIE FOR NEWTON LAUNCH THIS WEEK

By CBR Staff Writer

Things are getting so cutesy at Apple Computer Inc that the next we’ll hear, the company will be decamping down the coast to Anaheim to be closer to Disneyland: the company has formed a new division to handle its Personal Digital Assistant and similar portable devices and christened it Apple Personal Interactive Electronics so that it can be Apple Pie for short; Newton makes its debut at the Consumer Electronics Show in Chicago this week, and the new product will have 200 employees behind it; Apple has also developed a new language called Dynamic Language, or Dylan, across the country at its Cambridge, Massachusetts laboratory and says that it is designed for use with Newton and similar portable personal electronic products.
