IBM Corp’s Global Services division has added a new proactive security feature to its internet emergency response unit. It looks at patterns of use and if it detects suspicious activity, send an alarm to IBM’s network security operations center in Boulder, Colorado, that is manned around the clock. Staff there will decide whether or not to alert the administrators of the system concerned based on the level of the alert.
