Customer base growth helps GoDaddy post strong Q3

News: Net loss narrowed to $5.2m.

GoDaddy has reported a 15.2% increase in its third-quarter revenue to $411.1m as the company’s customer base grew 8.8% to 13.6 million.

Net loss narrowed to $5.2m, or 4 cents per share, in Q3, compared to $27.6m, or 21 cents per share, a year earlier.

Domains revenue rose 10.5% to $215m, while hosting and presence revenue increased 14.7% to $150.8m.

Business applications revenue was $45.3m, and international revenue stood at $105.3m.

GoDaddy currently manages over 61 million Internet domains, or more than 20% of the world’s total.

The company said it is increasing revenue across all of its business lines by delivering products and services that meet customer requirements.

The fourth-quarter revenue is expected to be in the range of $421m to $424m, and the full-year revenues $1.603bn to $1.606bn.

In Q3, GoDaddy extended its search engine visibility service, which enables a website using the company’s Domain Name System to rank better in search results without the need of manual code updates.

The company has also expanded its online store with new features, including the integration of GoDaddy Email Marketing; Shippo solution; and McAfee Secure Certification.
