Global Crossing, an IP solutions provider, has launched Connect Desktop and Connect Mobile, new desktop and mobile collaboration applications built on a standard application programming interface (API).
Global Crossing said that the new desktop and mobile collaboration applications allow users to join and host meetings with a single click from within the desktop or mobile application.
The new Connect Desktop enables users to join and manage Ready-Access audio conference calls via a simplified icon interface, store and bookmark recurring audio conferences, make operator requests and access account settings, all from the same location.
In addition, chairpersons can view and moderate meetings, disconnect or mute lines, invite and manage participants and add security access codes without having to access multiple screens.
The Connect Mobile allows users to host or join scheduled meetings, eliminating the need to manually dial numbers and access codes, and is available for both BlackBerry and Android devices and integrates with their calendars.
Global Crossing vice president of marketing Debra Swann said, the new Connect offerings represent a strategic step in the company’s vision to provide an efficient collaboration experience for customers.
