GEOWORKS WHETS APPETITE OF HUNGRY SMART PHONE USERS

By CBR Staff Writer

Geoworks Corp, maker of a smart phone operating system, has teamed up with Zagat Survey, publisher of restaurant review guidebooks, to enable users of smart phones to read up on possible dinner destinations. Under the agreement, Geoworks will create a wireless data service featuring Zagat Survey’s dining and lodging information, including reviews, prices and directions to the restaurants. This service will be licensed to operators who will be able to offer it to their wireless device customers. The service also features technology that will enable the users to use one button to call the restaurant or hotel for more information or to make reservations.
