Digital Persona to supply fingerprint scanning technology

Biometric authentication firm Digital Persona has supplied US credit unions Allegiance, Advantis and Telesis Community with its biometric fingerprint technology.

As authentication and identity theft becomes more of a concern, added security methods, such as biometric fingerprint-based recognition, are increasingly making an impact on the retail banking level. Digital Persona says that the credit unions will principally use the technology to enhance their network security.

Amy Petty, vice president of operations at Allegiance Credit Union, said, With the use of Digital Persona’s fingerprint authentication solutions, Allegiance has been able to streamline productivity and limit issues concerning identification and password access to our systems.
