By CBR Staff Writer

Oracle has released a new version of its analytics system, Oracle Exalytics In-Memory Machine X3-4 for businesses.

The system comes with software improvements and hardware updates that claim to expand the capabilities of the high-speed engineered system for business analytics.

Features of the new Exalytics X3-4 system include 2TB of main memory, 2.4TB of flash storage, and 5.4TB of hard disk, while the company has also launched upgrades to increase memory capacity for current Exalytics X2-4 sytems.

Oracle product management VP, Paul Rodwick, said that unlocking data in a quick, easy and timely manner can be a strong competitive advantage.

"Oracle Exalytics X3-4 delivers powerful business analytics reinforcing our commitment to innovating and delivering maximum value through analytics by allowing our customers to spend less time on complicated integrations and more time providing real-time answers to strategic business questions," Rodwick said.

The company claims that the system was built using industry-standard hardware, business intelligence software and in-memory database technology and is an optimised system pre-integrated to decrease the cost and complexity of an organisation’s IT infrastructure.
