CambridgeSoft signs collaboration agreement with Microsoft

To allow scientists to share data across the enterprise

By CBR Staff Writer

CambridgeSoft has signed an agreement with Microsoft to enhance the ability of scientists to collaboratively share data across the enterprise through integration of key technologies and deliver these offerings through a cloud computing model.

CambridgeSoft said that a working proof of concept of its E-Notebook, and Microsoft SharePoint 2010 and FAST Search Server 2010 for SharePoint was demonstrated at IQPC’s annual conference.

Building on foundation of the integration of E-Notebook and SharePoint platforms, CambridgeSoft will work with Microsoft to extend to other products and delivery platforms including emerging trend toward cloud computing.

In addition, the integration of E-Notebook content under SharePoint umbrella enables for the first time absolutely search across all data required for global organisations to make effective decisions.

CambridgeSoft president and CEO Michael Tomasic said that E-Notebook provides a platform that enables collaborative science conducted globally within organisations and between organisations.

"Within the E-Notebook platform, teams of scientists plan and document objectives, document literature research, execute and document experiments, request services of other scientists, analyse data and collate and report experimental results," Tomasic said.
