BELL ATLANTIC FOLLOWS IBM INTO AMERICAN MANAGEMENT’S BED

The panic by major companies into the systems integration market is so strong that the fact that American Management Systems Inc, Arlington, Virginia is now ascloseasthis to IBM, having agreed to sell IBM a 10% stake (CI No 1,221) has not put Bell Atlantic Corp, Philadelphia off, and yesterday the phone company announced formation of a joint venture with American called Bell Atlantic Systems Integration Corp. It will write custom software, and offer project management, integration and data management consulting.
