BARAK IN CONFLICT WITH ISRAELI MINISTRY

By CBR Staff Writer

Barak, one of Israel’s international phone call services controlled by Global One members Sprint Corp, France Telecom and Deutsche Telekom along with Clal Israel and Matav Cable Systems Media Ltd, is facing demands from the Ministry of Communications to stop offering additional call destinations to its subscribers that are not available to the general public. The company has been given thirty days to stop the practice, which according to ministry officials is an illegal practice and in breach of its operating license.
