AT&T introduces new Messaging Toolkit for SMBs

Mobile marketing offering analyses marketing program effectiveness; gathers customer feedback

By CBR Staff Writer

Telecommunications company AT&T has introduced new Messaging Toolkit for small and medium businesses (SMB) to provide their customers with offers, product updates and promotions in a real-time.

AT&T Messaging Toolkit is a mobile marketing offering that enables campaigns, promotions and information blasts. It also offers an integrated marketing approach by rolling several platforms into one comprehensive offering.

Using a combination of the interactive messaging platforms, the new Messaging Toolkit allows customers to develop, execute and customise marketing campaigns. Interactive messaging platforms include: text and picture mail; E-mail; voice broadcasting; Facebook widget and online sign-up page; Twitter feed compatibility; mobile coupons, keywords and mobile voting.

The new Messaging Toolkit provides a custom, cost-effective marketing program for SMBs of all types. The toolkit also includes templates and aids to assist in campaign message design and development, as well as contact list management.

With the new Messaging Toolkit, small businesses can drive foot traffic, build a customer base, offer discounts and coupons, analyse marketing program effectiveness, gather customer feedback, and can distribute community alerts and emergency notifications, claimed AT&T.

AT&T Advanced Mobility Solutions vice-president Chris Hill said AT&T wanted the AT&T Messaging Toolkit to be all-inclusive to help small business owners get the most for their money.

"Many small businesses rely on grassroots marketing to survive, especially in a tough economy. We recognize that text messaging and multi-mode messaging are widely used, and we wanted our customers to have access to that broader audience, in addition to active social media channels," said Hill.
