ASTOUNDING PRESENTATION PROGRAM

Torrance, California-based Gold Disk Inc is preparing a January launch of a new presentation graphics program called Astound! that will go for $400, PC Week reports: the paper says it will challenge Aldus Corp’s Persuasion and Microsoft Corp’s PowerPoint with traditional presentation features, such as an outliner, a slide sorter, speaker notes and 35mm slide output; it will also contain features for creating interactive, animated presentations and is expected to offer drawing, charting, animation, libraries, clip art, text, QuickTime, transitions, interactivity, timeline, sound, import, styles, runtime and dual monitor support.
