Apple collaborates with Cisco to lure business users

iPhone users to get better Cisco video and web conferencing.

Apple has teamed up to optimise iOS for Cisco networks for iPhone and iPad users.

The aim is to create a fast lane for iOS business users to push Apple sales into business customers.

Cisco video and web conferencing services and chatting software on Apple‘s mobile devices are also being pushed.

Collaboration tools like Cisco Spark, Cisco Telepresence and Cisco WebEx which will help enhance meeting experience and team collaboration on Apple devices.

Cisco executive chairman John Chambers said: "Ninety-five percent of companies in the Fortune 500 count on Cisco Collaboration and Cisco networks to help their teams be more productive.

"Through this engineering and go-to-market partnership, we’re offering our joint customers the ability to seamlessly extend that awesome Cisco environment to their favourite iOS devices. Together, we’re going to help teams achieve higher levels of productivity and effectiveness."
