ACORN HAS COMPLETE LAN TV PACKAGE

Acorn Group Plc has introduced its LanTV package for delivering high-quality interactive video and graphics across local area networks, supporting full-screen MPEG2 and/or MPEG1 digital video on inexpensive displays, particularly televisions. It supports 10Base-T Ethernet and Asynchronous Transfer Mode as well as PAL and NTSC television standards. The package includes a set top box with Advanced RISC Machines Ltd ARM7500E processor, LANTV software with Web browser interface and Delta software for modifying the interface. Future set-tops will use the StrongARM RISC.
