ACER’S WIPRO-ACER VERNTURE TO MANUFACTURE FOR INDIA, THE WORLD

Acer Inc has now formally established its Indian joint venture with the Wipro Infotech unit of Wipro Pte Ltd. The new Wipro-Acer Ltd will manufacture and market the entire Acer range of computer products and office automation equipment in India, and the Taiwanese company will hold 45% with Wipro holding the rest. The partners also plan to use Wipro’s facilities to manufacture products for Acer’s overseas markets.
