Computer equipment distributor and communications equipment maker Zygal Dynamics Plc has agreement to acquire privately-held systems house Coulson Heron Associates Ltd for new shares worth about UKP6.9m. The CHA Group is an Authorised Digital Computer Distributor, and writes custom software for the DEC VAX line through its VAX Systems Division, which also offers project management services. The company also has a Business Systems Division selling multiuser machines worth up to UKP100,000. It has a separate maintenance division to look after its customers’ machines, and two further subsidiaries, CHA Installations Ltd and CHA Networks Ltd. Inst-allations fits out computer suites, and Networks provides consultancy services and turnkey local and wide area network systems. Turnover in the year to October 1986 almost doubled to UKP6.4m, as did pre-tax profits, which rose 86% to UKP651,000. It is planned that CHA will continue to operate as a sep-arate subsidiary of Zygal under present management.
