Retailer Clove is accepting pre-orders for ZTE’s V9A, which is is expected to hit the shelves in late February in UK.

Priced at £235, the ZTE Light Tab 2 runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread, and comes with a 3G connection, enabling it to go online without any external device.

The tablet has a 7-inch touchscreen display, a single core Qualcomm 1.4 GHz MSM8255 chipset, 3.2-megapixel rear camera, 12.6mm thickness, front-facing VGA camera with 3400mAh removable battery and a micro-card slot.

In its blog, Clove said the tablet to be rolled out by one of the world’s largest smartphone manufacturers and offers ‘performance and reliability’ to pay for.

Windows Phone 7.5 Tania, the first smartphone from ZTE this year, was launched last week. It is being dubbed as the most affordable 4.3" Windows Phone.

ZTE Light Tab is seeking to emulate the Amazon Kindle Fire success witnessed in 2011.
