ZORTECH’S C COMPILER HAS C++ UPGRADE PATH

By CBR Staff Writer

Having launched the first C++ compiler for under UKP100 last July, UK software house Zortech Ltd, Woolwich, South London, which also has an office in Boston, Massachusetts, has now revealed a new C compiler and debugger which it says includes an easy upgrade path to C++ and object-oriented programming. Based on the C++ compiler, the new product includes tutorial, programmers editor, on-line help, graphics and global optimiser, and is claimed to compile at a rate of 16,000 lines per minute. Purchasers of the C debugger will be able to upgrade to the full C++ debugger, due for delivery in May this year. The compiler and debugger, supported on machines running MS-DOS 2.1 or higher, cost $90 each, or $150 as a combined package. UK prices are UKP50 and UKP90 respectively.
