Zoom Technologies launches Leimone 3G phone for China Telecom

Supports CDMA2000/GSM dual-mode

Zoom Technologies has unveiled Leimone E63 3G phones that supports CDMA2000/GSM dual-mode with two card slots, UIM and SIM and is designed specifically for China Telecom’s 3G network.

The company said that their multi-media business phone allows users to access two mobile phone lines within a single device, 3G (CDMA2000 1x, EVDO) and multi-band 800/900/1800mHz GSM.

According to Zoom Technologies, the E63 features two cameras, 2.8-inch TFT touch window display with 65.6K colours, 320 x 240 resolution, expansion slot that accepts a maximum 32G micro SD card, and supports QQ, an instant messaging software platform in China.

In addition, the new phone also features web browsing, multi-media player that supports both MP3 and MP4, FM radio, bluetooth, SMS, MMS and WAP.

Mr Leo Gu, chief executive officer of Zoom Technologies, said: This E63 3G phone will lead off a series of four Leimone 3G phones to hit the market this year. We are planning to roll out Android OS based products by this summer, and this will further enhance our brand name and the recognition of our capabilities.

“With Zoom’s video capable devices, the company is anticipating cooperation with China Telecom and CCTV in its publicity campaign surrounding the usage of video services on 3G mobile handsets to stir up the public’s interest in value-add services on this new media.”
