Stung by that Wall Street Journal story (CI No 1,994), Zeos International Ltd, St Paul, Minnesota rushed out an announcement that its new Occidental Systems Inc subsidiary is manufacturing the company’s new low-end mail order personal computers, which have fewer features and customisation options than the top lines: We indicated in late July that we would shortly be introducing a new, low-priced line of personal computers that would bear a new brand name, and that would compete against the lowest-priced offerings of our major competitors, said Zeos chairman Gregory Herrick adding that Occidental Systems is that new, low-priced line.
