You don’t have to be an engineer to use CAD any more, according to Ken Goodman, vice-president of Generic Software Inc in Redmond, Washington, whose company is preparing to release 24 symbol libraries for its Generic CADD 3.0 software: the libraries, for applications ranging from residential home design to electronics to greeting card art, will sell for $34.95 to $74.95; a $49.95 FirstCADD for Apple’s Macintosh is set for Comdex/Fall.
