YOU-DATA ADDS LIGHTWRITER FOR THE VAX

You-Data Ltd, Camberley, Surrey, the UK subsidiary of Danish IBM-compatible printer and protocol manufacturer We-Data A/S, has diversified with a DEC-compatible version of the LightWriter Liquid Crystal Shutter 2400 printer. The LightWriter, using a Casio engine, has been developed for the UK DEC VAX market and the company plans an ICL version in the near future; the DEC version costs UKP3,820. Established in September 1986, You-Data has picked up UKP150,000 in orders and plans to take on 70 staff this year, aiming at UKP2.5m turnover in 1987 and UKP6m in 1988. It has filled a UKP50,000 order from Software AG Ltd.
