The startup, which is jointly headquartered in Israel and California, said its open peer-to-peer application sits on top of every email network and turns any email address into a phone or messenger. VoIP calls and IMs can be made throughout the world for free, according to Yoomba.
The company’s namesake app adds click-to-call or click-to-IM buttons next to contact details in all major webmails, Outlook and Outlook Express.
No registration is required, unlike other, larger free VoIP and IM services. When users activate Yoomba, their email contacts are loaded in order of popularity.
