Yamatake Honeywell is establish an instrumentation and control software development centre in Shanghai in conjunction with Sinopec, the Chinese Petroleum Export Corporation: the main activity will be the design and development of instrumentation systems for petroleum analysis, petroleum chemistry, steel-making and other heavy industries, and the centre will initially be staffed by three engineers from Yamatake Honeywell, and six from Sinopec; the team will start by developing software to enable the TDS3000 system to control a fertiliser plant and a nuclear reactor.
