Yamaichi Securities will install 4,000 of Hitachi Ltd’s 2050/32 32-bit workstations as terminals in its sales branches, as part of its Third On-line System: it wants to complete the prototype by 1988, with installation in the summer of 1989; the stations are coming with 6Mb main memory, 20Mb to 30Mb fixed disk, with appearance built to Yamaichi specifications, and the share trader wants the box to integrate the three terminals currently used by the securities sales staff.
