xTuple has released a new version of its open source ERP system, xTuple ERP 3.3, with international tax management system and few other new product enhancements.

XTuple said that in addition to tax management feature, version 3.3 also includes a new distribution requirements planning (DRP) feature that allows users to generate planned transfer orders (to move inventory, anticipated order blocks or indirect materials between warehouses) either manually or by using logic contained in its Material Requirements Planning (MRP) algorithms.

The company said that its DRP capability enables users to manage and release planned transfer orders with the same tools used to execute similar activities for other planned orders.

According to xTuple, the other new capabilities in the version 3.3 include: enhanced support for email integration and electronic document interchange (EDI); consolidation of all customer information on one ‘workbench’ screen; usability requests in accounting; export all displays to OpenOffice document formats; and support for Qt version 4.5, available under the Lesser GNU Public License (LGPL).

The company said that the PostBooks edition of xTuple ERP is available free of charge under the open source Common Public Attribution License (CPAL). The standard and manufacturing editions are available under xTuple’s hybrid license.
