XITEC HAS A MONLITHIC FULL-FEATURED EPROM

By CBR Staff Writer

Xitec is claiming the industry’s first monolithic full-featured EEPROM with 1M-bit density: the X28C010 CMOS device runs off a single 5V power supply, features broad page mode, Software Data Protection and EPROM-compatible pinout and is pin-compatible with the company’s hybrid 1M XM28C010 EEPROM module; volume on the X28C010 is expected in the second half of 1989, when Xicor’s new 6 wafer fab is expected to come on line; the part will be available with access times of 200nS, 250nS, 300nS and 350nS in dual-in-line and surface mount packages and in commercial, industrial and military temperature ranges, but has not yet been priced.
