Wireless network provider Xirrus has extended its XR-Series Wireless Array product line with new hardened outdoor Wi-Fi applications, XR-1000H hardened Array to meet demand in wireless service in outdoor or other harsh environments.
The new XR-1000H hardened Array is populated with dual 802.11n 3×3 modular APs operating at up to 450 Mbps and utilises an integrated controller for autonomous operation.
Together with outdoor enclosures for the entire family of XR Array products, the new hardened array delivers a set of reliable options for providing wireless access in a variety of environments, including outdoor public areas, stadiums, manufacturing facilities, industrial worksites.
The ruggedised XR-1000H can be used in variable environments ranging in temperatures from -40 to +65 degrees Centigrade with an IP67-rated enclosure that is water and dust sealed.
The new XR-Series Outdoor Enclosures will enable the entire range of XR Wireless Arrays to be operated in challenging environmental conditions to support for high-density applications.
The outdoor enclosures will also enable deployment of wireless for applications in sporting venues, conference facilities, transportation hubs and other locations with high volumes of iPads and other smart devices.
The new release offers a reliable wireless access in any location, any environment, and in any weather, a completely sealed unit requiring minimal maintenance and a housing unit resistant to damage.
It also features the ability to scale for unpredictable device-density growth and the rugged design, enhanced performance will equip the Array for mission-critical applications.
