The new platform provides a transportable configuration that is designed to allow government organizations to deploy a mobile storage area network (SAN) that can be easily relocated in the event of emergency.
The system can also serve as a mobile field lab for the collection and analysis of digital evidence.
The ability to take data and go, or arrive at an investigative site with a complete mobile SAN means that investigators run much less risk of contamination or corruption of potential evidence, said Mike Stolz, vice president of marketing at Xiotech.
