XIDEX TO MOVE FLOPPY DISK PLANT FROM LE LOCLE TO SANTA CLARA

Xidex Corp, Palo Alto, California is closing its Le Locle, Switzerland, floppy disk manufacturing plant immediately and transferring all work there to Santa Clara: the move means loss of over 200 jobs, and Xidex says it is necessary because of the plummeting value of the dollar against the Swiss franc.
