Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi has sold 34.7 million phones in the first half of this year, an increase of 33% when compared to the same period in 2014.
The company, which is valued at $45bn, has set a target of selling 100 million smartphones for the full year of 2015.
Xiaomi did not disclose the markets that accounted for the majority of sales, but China is reported to have dominated once again.
The company had a market share of 12.5% in China in 2014, making it the largest local vendor. The company had stiff competition from Apple, whose sales of iPhones 6 in the Asian country were more than those in the US.
Xiaomi CEO and founder Lei Jun said: "Even with the China smartphone market slowing down, we did a stellar job of posting a 33% growth on last year’s numbers.
"It can be said that we outperformed the market and produced an excellent report card."
Xiaomi is focusing on expanding its operations to other countries like India and Brazil, where it recently launched its phones.
