Xerox has introduced two new office printers, the phaser 6128MFP and phaser 6280, to help small and medium-sized businesses in color printing.

According to the company, the phaser 6128MFP copies, scans and faxes, and prints up to 12 pages per minute (ppm) in color, and 16 ppm in black and white. The MFP comes with 600×600 dpi and uses emulsion aggregate high grade (EA-HG) toner. In addition, access controls track costs and ensure color use is appropriately managed.

Xerox claims that the phaser 6128MFP allows office workers to complete a variety of daily tasks using a large, simple to navigate front panel display. The MFP features include scan to e-mail that sends e-mail via a wide variety of networks, and a LAN Fax, which sends faxes directly from the computer.

Xerox has said that for offices that require a single-function desktop printer, the phaser 6280 color laser printer offers up to 26 ppm color print speeds and a first-page-out-time as fast as 10 seconds. In addition, the phaser 6280 includes a front panel complete with a toner gauge that allows users to check levels before starting a large print job.
