US based XcellaSave has sued Groupon and LivingSocial claiming that the online marketers are infringing on its protected patents for mobile-phone advertising.
According to two lawsuits filed in the US federal court in Delaware, XcellaSave is seeking a jury trial and demanded unspecified damages from both the firms.
According to Bloomberg, the New York-based XcellaSave has alleged in court papers that both the firms have continued to create and broadcast promotional and marketing materials.
The company has also accused Groupon and LivingSocial of creating and broadcast of technical information in infringing applications which can be operated on the iPhone and BlackBerry along with phones which are powered by Android- and Windows operating systems.
