Xandros on the lookout for Red Hat users

Linux vendor Xandros Inc is looking for users of its rival Red Hat Inc's Linux distribution so it can prove the capabilities of its new cross-platform server management and monitoring offerings.

By CBR Staff Writer

The New York-based company launched its first Linux server distribution in May, having previously focused on the desktop space, and is eager to prove that its new capabilities will enable Red Hat administrators to configure Red Hat Enterprise Linux with Xandros Linux applications and management tools.

To do that it needs Red Hat users to sign up to beta test the capabilities of its Xandros Management Console. Finding Red Hat users should not be difficult given the Raleigh, California-based company’s dominance of the enterprise Linux server market, but Xandros has put out the call in any case.
