X1 Technologies, a provider of email, desktop, and eDiscovery search offerings, has introduced an enhanced version of its Mobile Search app, which is now available in the iTunes App Store.
The new secure mobile search app is updated for the iPad and released as a Universal App, which is optimised for the full screen resolution of the iPad and iPad 2, while also working seamlessly on iPhones and iPods.
In addition, the Mobile Search app turns an iPad into an extension of a user’s computer by bringing the company’s search feature to mobile devices, said the company.
It added that the app enables instant and secure remote search of desktop-bound email, attachments, documents and more.
The enhanced Mobile Search features include: mobile access to PC data; fast-as-you-type instant search; view, edit, and share documents; storage of documents and files to user device; and enterprise grade security.
X1 Technologies products and strategy vice-president Christopher Walton said the company has taken the core functionality and power of Mobile Search and upgraded it with a user-friendly, high definition interface that fully utilises the iPad’s feature, large format display.
"We’re also happy to announce that the new iPad release is currently available in the App Store and is a free upgrade for all current X1 Mobile Search users," Walton said.
