Seattle-based WRQ Inc has announced an upgrade programme for its Reflection Network Series for Windows, which is claimed to be the industry’s first co-operative VxD/Dynamic Link Library implementation of a TCP/IP stack. Under the programme, customers can upgrade from a competitor’s TCP/IP stack to the Reflection Network Series for $100, says the company. According to the company, the Reflection Network Series is an enterprise-ready product that includes a set of tools for network configuration and management, drag-and-drop File Transfer Protocol client and server, comprehensive statistics reporting, a network Event Viewer, a Trace utility, LPR/LPD for printing and Simple Network Management Protocol Management Information Base II support. The $100 competitive upgrade price is available to users of 3Com Corp’s 3+Open TCP, Digital Equipment Corp’s Pathworks for MS-DOS TCP/IP, Novell Inc’s LAN WorkPlace and IBM Corp’s TCP/IP for MS-DOS TCP/IP stacks, among others, it says.
