WOZNIAK’s CL9 LAUNCHES TWIN MICRO REMOTE CONTROL

By CBR Staff Writer

Steve Wozniak last Friday showed off the first product of his second company, CL9, Sunnyvale, as Core, a remote controller that interacts with virtually any infra-red-controlled home electronics product, including TV, stereo, satellite dish, VCR and compact disk player, appliances and security systems. The programmable controller has a macro-entry feature that enables it to execute up to 260 commands with the touch of a single key and a real-time clock enables events to be programmed months in advance. The $200 unit includes two microprocessors and a relatively large RAM and the Master Module generates a high-energy, dispersed signal.
