It’s not unheard of for malware to arrive using backdoors deliberately left by preceding worms, but for one to exploit a vulnerability in earlier malware appears to be unprecedented. The Sasser vulnerability was identified earlier last week.

People not affected by Sasser, which exploits a Windows vulnerability, have nothing to worry about. People whose PCs are infected with Sasser have more to worry about, as Dabber installs a backdoor to permit future mischief.
